No. Stage 1 is free for everyone. You only need a card or mobile money if you want to attempt Stage 2 or if Stage 1 doesn't go your way and you want to retry before the free 24-hour cooldown ends.

How fast do you actually pay winners?

Same day to your linked Nigerian bank account via Paystack. Same day to MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and 9mobile Pay. Most withdrawals land in under 2 hours.

What if I'm bad at quizzes?

There's a free unlimited practice mode with no prizes and no pressure. Use it to find which category you're strongest in before you spend your free Stage 1 attempt.

Is this gambling?

No. PopQuizAfrica is a skill-based competition. You're answering questions, not betting on random outcomes. Adults 18+ only. We comply with Nigeria's skill-game regulations.

Where can I play from?

Anywhere in Nigeria. Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Ibadan, Benin City, Enugu, every state. All prizes paid in Naira to your linked bank or mobile money. We're Nigeria-only for now and adding more African countries soon.

How do I know the questions aren't rigged?

Every game commits a cryptographic hash of the question set before kickoff. After the game, the hash is published alongside the question list. Anyone can verify nothing was swapped. Provably fair, every game.

What happens if my account gets flagged?

If our anti-fraud system flags your IP, Stage 1 gets locked for that account. You can still pay the Stage 1 entry fee directly, or contact admin from the lock screen. We review every appeal within 24 hours.

Can I refer friends and earn?

Yes. Every account has a referral code. When a friend signs up with your code and qualifies for their first tournament, you both get a bonus. Codes live on your account page.
