Terms of service.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in a country where skill-based prize gaming is legal. By creating an account you certify both. We verify ages through KYC at tier 2.

2. Skill-based, not gambling

PopQuizAfrica is a skill-based competition. Winnings are determined by correct answers and response time, not chance. The Lucky Wheel is a complimentary feature using provably-fair randomness; verifiable wheel outcomes are documented at /api/account/fair/get-seeds.php.

3. Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits process through Paystack and credit your wallet on confirmation. Withdrawals are reviewed within 24 hours and paid within 3 business days. Tier 0 accounts have a ₦5,000 lifetime withdrawal cap. Tier 1 unlocks ₦50,000 per week. Tier 2 unlocks ₦1,000,000 per week.

4. One person, one account

Each person may hold one account. We use device fingerprinting and IP tracking to detect multi-accounting. Suspected multi-account holders have all related accounts suspended pending review. Confirmed multi-accounters forfeit balances.

5. Tournament rules

Once a tournament closes, results are settled and prizes credited automatically. Live tournaments use a synchronised clock. Async tournaments allow replay within the open window only if explicitly stated. We reserve the right to void any tournament where a question is found to be defective, with all entry fees refunded.

6. Responsible play

You can set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit caps. Lowering a cap takes effect immediately. Raising a cap takes effect after a 24-hour cool-off period. You can self-exclude for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, or permanently; once set, only the cool-off can lift non-permanent exclusions.

7. Account security

You're responsible for your password and 2FA codes. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication. We will never ask for your password by email or phone. Lost backup codes can be regenerated from your account settings after authentication.

8. Refunds and disputes

Entry fees for cancelled tournaments are refunded automatically. Disputed transactions should be reported within 30 days; reference numbers are logged for every deposit and withdrawal. Disputes escalate to support@popquizafrica.com.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from /account/. We may suspend or close accounts for: violation of these terms, suspected fraud, suspected multi-accounting, regulatory requirement, or non-response to verification requests. Closed-account balances are paid out within 14 business days subject to KYC verification.

10. Changes

We may update these terms with at least 30 days notice via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
